"Layout supports content"
If your website's layout looks good, you won't be bothered to configure that layout for every new webpage, will you?
Many HTML websites have no separation between content and layout: with a change of taste or style every page has to be changed manually. You can use your time better, can't you?
Separation between content and design
With a good CMS like Joomla the layout (design) and content are separated. When creating an article, you need only to concentrate on the text. And maybe you would like to include some images that you want to place within the text. But the overall design has been defined in a layout template. When a visitor requests a webpage, the layout template is merged with an article (content) that is retrieved from a database.
New style?
And if your ever changing business style, no point. After you install a new layout template, the design on the entire site is automatically adjusted. Note that hidden formatting codes used in your texts (e.g. from MS Word), might disturb your design. But a good WYSIWYG editor has a certain functionality that removes formatting codes from the text.
db8 and design of your Joomla website
Design is a profession. db8 is a Joomla specialist and not a designer. That is the discipline of others, which db8 regularly hires to create designs.
Clients who need a quick and relatively cheap professional layout template, can use commercial templates. These templates are available to adapt to the style of the client, so that the client has a fairly unique website.
If a customer needs a truly unique layout template and has some budget for it, then db8 hires several independent professional graphic designers who are specialized in the development of house styles, logos and website design. The design is converted in a unique Joomla template.
