Another (theoretical) limitation: In Joomla (and many other CMS systems) can create up to create more than 4 billion items. (Technical background: All articles in the database with a unique ID. The field type of the ID INT (11). The maximum value that it can be saved unsigned is 4,294,967,295).

The db stands for database. The mathematical symbol for infinity ∞ cannot be registered in a domain name. And that symbol is difficult to communicate. Rotate the infinity symbol ninety degrees and an 8 appeard. Hence the company name: db8 = databases behind websites offer endless possibilities.
