Aanbieders.be is a price comparison website from Belgium that compares prices between suppliers of Natural Gas, Electricity and in the future GSM Telephony, Digital TV, Internet, Energy, Savings and Loans.

Analysis

The client wanted a professional Joomla website to show prices comparisions of suppliers on the Belgian market. The program of requirements for the site showed that navigation and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) were very important. The client had a graphic design ready and wanted a tableless (ie, without HTML formatting tables with CSS only) Joomla template. The site would be devided in multiple parts, each with its own distinctive layout.

Solution

db8.nl installed the Joomla website including SEO and a sitemap component, and developed the tableless Joomla template. The left menu on the comparison pages was achieved by a combination of a modified Joomla's menu module, a custom programmed module and use of multiple templates.

After a short on-site-training the clients now manage the website themselves. The price scripts used on the website have been developed by the clients themselves.
