NanoNed website

NanoNed is an organization active in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It's a consortium of seven universities, TNO and Philips to invest in scientific research, experimental facilities and exchange of knowledge about nanotechnology.

Analysis

NanoNed wanted an easily managed website with a contemporary professional look.

Solution

Foton Visuele Communicatie from Leeuwarden developed the design. db8 made the Joomla website and trained some employees in the usage of Joomla.

Some details on this Joomla site: The left menus have different background colors. Furthermore, the site consists of 4 different background variations of which the visitor will see only one. On visit a background is randomly chosen and stored in "a session". The background does not change during the site visit to have a comfort appearance. At a subsequent visit (after restart of browser) a different background may appear.
